Erik Stevenson, the 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Timberline (WA) High School, announced his commitment to Wichita State Tuesday via Twitter. He is the second commit for the Shockers in as many days, as they landed 2018 Rodgerick Brown on Monday.

“I love the city! I love the coaching staff, they are a great team, and they love me,” Stevenson told D1VISION via text. “It’s just a great fit.”

According to 247Sports, Stevenson is ranked as the No. 297 player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 5 player in the state of Washington. His commitment gives Wichita State the No. 10 recruiting class in 2018.

“[Rodgerick Brown’s commitment] just added to the deal. I would of went there either way but it adds,” said Stevenson. “I think I’ll fit in great. They have a great running offense I’ll be ready to get into.”

Stevenson chose Wichita State over schools such as Yale, Washington, Washington State, LSU, Cal Poly, Hawaii, USF, Utah, among others. “I would like to thank ALL of the schools who recruited me,” said Stevenson in a statement released on Twitter.
