USC Lands 2018 Power Forward J’Raan Brooks

J’Raan Brooks, the 6-foot-8 power forward from Garfield (WA) High School, announced his commitment to USC on Monday via Twitter.

Brooks chose USC over Virginia, Stanford, Oklahoma, and California after cutting his list last week. He had an official for USC set for later this year (Sept. 2). USC is also targeting 2018 Taeshon Cherry who is set to make his college decision on Friday.

Playing for Dream Vision on the adidas Gauntlet, Brooks has averaged 15.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game in eight games, leading them to a 5-3 record.

Brooks is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 87 player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 3 player from the state of Washington. He is the first commit in USC’s 2018 class.
