Michael Porter Jr finished with 19 points and 4 rebounds. Michigan State bound Jaren Jackson Jr. was the only other USA team member in double figures, posting 13 points to go with 9 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.

Undeclared Mo Bamba had maybe the best defensive play of the night, extracting the ball from the sky like he was picking a ripe apple from a tree. R.J. Barrett attempted a pass that never made it past the 7’9″ wingspan of Bamba.

Kentucky bound Nick Richards had 13 points and 3 rebounds while future Wildcat teammate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander pitched in 11 points for the World Select Team. Virginia Tech bound, and Gilgeous-Alexander high school teammate, Nickeil Alexander-Walker had 10 points. Future Iowa State Cyclone Lindell Wigginton had 11 points and a team high 6 assists.

Team USA had a 10-point lead at the half, to see that dwindle to 6 at the end of three. The World Select Team got within 4 points at the 2:43 mark before Team USA finished the game on a 10-3 run led by Michael Porter’s 6 points.

As the featured image shows, all the action didn’t occur on the court as one of the top point guards in the country, Kentucky bound Quade Green, was sidelined with a concussion. That didn’t keep him from chatting it up with Kentucky target Mo Bamba who is also considering Duke, Texas and Michigan.
