Tremont Waters — one of only two remaining Top 100 uncommitted players in the class of 2017 — will officially visit LSU starting Wednesday, as was first reported by Evan Daniels.

Waters, who is ranked number 41 nationally, initially committed to Georgetown and head coach John Thompson III. Waters asked for and received release from his NLI with the Hoyas back in early April.

The diminutive four-star point guard was a hot commodity during last Summer, picking up offers from the likes of Kentucky, Kansas and Duke before eventually choosing Georgetown.

LSU is trending on the updated 247Sports CrystalBall. The Tigers picked up the last nine votes, including that of 247Sports Director of Basketball Scouting, Jerry Meyer. LSU now hold a slim 45/40 edge over the Hoyas.

The Tigers currently have a four-man class locked in for the coming season. Four-star Brandon Rachel joins three-stars Galen Alexander and Mayan Kiir along with Daryl Edwards. A class currently ranked 48th nationally would jump to 16th overall, fourth in the SEC with the commitment of Waters.

Will Wade could make a major eleventh hour splash in year one with the signing of one of the best point guards out of the 2017 class and a player that could run the show for several years.
