Simi Shittu, a 6-foot-8 forward out of Vermont Academy (VT), has scheduled three of his five available official visits, according to Vermont Academy. Shittu will take official visits to Vanderbilt (Oct. 6-8), Arizona (Nov. 3-5) and North Carolina (Nov. 10-12).

Shittu, who cut his list to ten last month, is also considering Arizona State, Kentucky, New Mexico, Notre Dame, Oregon, South Carolina and UConn. Kentucky has yet to extend an official offer to the five-star out of Canada.

Kentucky recently offered unranked 2018 power forward Jaxson Hayes out of Cincinnati (OH) Bishop Moeller. An offer no one saw coming, especially considering he is ranked outside of the top 100 on the 247Sports Composite Player rankings.

Shittu recently broke down Arizona, North Carolina and Vanderbilt for D1Vision.

Arizona: “It’s a really nice campus. They have a lot of pros too. My friend Emmanuel Akot goes there. He’s there this year, so he and I talk about it a lot.”

North Carolina: “They just won the national championship. They’re more of a developmental school. They have a lot of three-and done players. They also have a nice campus as well. It’s a learning environment.”

Vanderbilt: “They’re a rising program. They want me to come and play right away. They have nice facilities and develop their guys.”

D1Vision asked Shittu via text if he had plans to take all five official visits.

“Three for now before the season,” Shittu responded. “I’m just weighing my options before the season.”

According to 247Sports, Shittu is ranked as the No. 7 overall player in the Class of 2018, the No. 1 power forward and the No. 1 player in Vermont.

Kentucky’s John Calipari, North Carolina’s Roy Williams, South Carolina’s Frank Martin, Notre Dame’s Mike Brey, Arizona’s Sean Miller and Vanderbilt’s Bryce Drew all visited Vermont Academy to see Simi Shittu earlier this month, per ZagsBlog.

While playing with CIA Bounce on the Nike EYBL summer circuit, Shittu averaged 20.1 points, 9.9 rebounds, 3. assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.1 steals per outing over a 21 game window.
