Following his decommitment from Louisville last week, 2018 guard Anfernee Simons told D1Vision that multiple schools have begun to recruit him.

Simons listed Villanova, Maryland, NC State, Memphis, Virginia, Florida State, Florida, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, UConn, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, Cincinnati, LSU, Tennessee, Marquette, Wichita State, Georgetown, SMU, South Carolina, Michigan, Illinois, and Dayton among the schools that have reached out.

D1Vision has learned that UCLA is also in the mix for the five-star. The Bruins also offered Simons. Memphis, Florida, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, LSU, and Dayton have also recently extended offers to Simons.

On October 16th, Simons told D1Vision that Arkansas State, SMU and Florida State have extended offers. Simons offer sheet count has swelled to eleven schools since withdrawing his commitment.

Simons says he’s in no hurry to make a decision.

“I’m taking my time,” said Simons on when he plans to make his decision. “I will eventually take my official visits but there are no schools that I know I want to visit at this time.”

According to 247Sports, Simons is ranked as the No. 12 overall player from the Class of 2018 and the No. 1 ranked combo guard. Playing with Team Breakdown this summer on the UAA Association Circuit, he was named to the 17U All UAA First Team.

Before committing to Louisville, Simons was originally considering Arkansas, Florida, Marquette, Kansas State, Illinois, Texas, Creighton, Northwestern, USC, Missouri, Iowa State and Ohio State.
