Ronaldo Segu, the 6-foot point guard from Orlando (FL) Christian Prep, told D1Vision on Monday that Buffalo, Towson, South Florida, College of Charleston, and VCU are the schools recruiting him the hardest. He broke down each school:

Buffalo: “They’re making me a priority. They’ve been at all my games in July. They talk to me every day to see how I’m doing. They’ve invested in me.”

Towson: “They call me every day. They’ve been at most of my games in July, talking to me, seeing how I’m doing, and trying to get me to come up to visit for unofficials.”

USF: “I just took an unofficial there (June 27). It was a nice campus. Ever since then, they’ve come to all of my games in July. They just recently offered (July 16). They talk to me almost every day.”

College of Charleston: “They offered me a little bit after USF. The head coach [Earl Grant] called me, along with Coach [Quinton Ferrell]. They call me after every one of my games, telling me what I’m doing wrong, what I’m doing right, and what are some things I can fix in my game. That’s another school that’s prioritizing me. They want me too.”

VCU: “They offered me around June 15, as soon as I could receive calls. They’ve been talking to me ever since. Coach [JD Byers] talks to me mostly. He’s been telling me how I can fit in with their program and their style of play.”

Segu mentioned that he would like to make his college decision sometime before the early signing period in the winter. “I want to make my decision mid way through my high school season,” said Segu. “Possibly before hand but I don’t really have a certain date yet.”

Although Segu doesn’t have any upcoming visits planned, he would like to take some before committing. “I’m going to start planning them out but not right now,” he said.

Playing with 1Family on the Adidas Gauntlett this summer, Segu has averaged 12.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists through three games. 1Family finished with a 2-4 record.

Segu has also received interest from Louisville who was recently given the second highest score behind Wichita State in ESPN’s BPI rankings.
