Quentin Grimes Names Top Seven Schools

Quentin Grimes Top 7

Quentin Grimes, the 6-foot-4 point guard from The Woodlands College Park (TX) High School, named Kansas, Kentucky, Arizona, Texas A&M, Texas, Baylor, and Marquette as his top seven schools on Thursday via Twitter.

“After I cut it to [seven], I’ll restart the process,” Grimes told Rivals in June. “I’ll start doing more research on the schools and then hopefully look to take some unofficial visits when I have some dead time.”

According to 247Sports, Grimes is ranked as the No. 21 overall player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 1 player from the state of Texas.

“Maybe I’ll cut it down to three or four schools before the start of my senior year and then look to take official visits,” said Grimes.

Grimes will visit Kansas next month (Sept. 29-30) for “Late Night in the Phog” but is unsure whether it will be an official or unofficial visit. He has no other visits planned.

Playing with Basketball (TX) University on the Adidas Gauntlett this summer, Grimes averaged 21.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in six games. He led Basketball University to a 4-2 record.
