Kalu Ezikpe, a 6-foot-8 forward from Discovery (GA) High School has confirmed his commitment to Old Dominion with us at D1VISION.

“I chose Old Dominion because I could play early and reach my dreams of playing in the NBA,” Ezikpe told D1Vision. “They were a top 25 team last year at one point and with me and the other players that are committed we could be the next Wichita State, VCU, or Gonzaga.”

According to 247Sports composite ranking, Ezikpe is No. 298 overall player for the Class of 2018 and the No. 15 player in the state of Georgia. Ezikpe took official visits to North Carolina-Greensboro (Sept. 22nd), Middle Tennessee State (Oct. 7th), and Old Dominion (Oct. 21st). He also took an unofficial visit to Troy (Oct. 11th).

Ezikpe joins three-star shooting guard Jason Wade, two-star power forward Joe Reece, and power forward Jarvis Vaughan for Old Dominion’s 2018 recruiting class. He also held offers from North Carolina-Greensboro, Middle Tennessee State, Florida Gulf Coast, UMass, Towson, and VCU amongst others.

Ezikpe is a versatile forward who is capable of stretching the defense beyond the three-point line. He has the ability to grab the rebound and bring the ball up to initiate the offense. His versatility will be key if Old Dominion plans on making a deep run in March when he steps on campus.

Ezikpe spoke with us at D1Vision in September about his Summer and recruiting.
