Ohio State Lands 2018 Forward Jaedon Ledee

Jaedon Ledee, the 6-foot-8 small forward from the Kinkaid (TX) School, announced his commitment to Ohio State on Tuesday in a video released via Twitter.

“After much faith, prayer, and guidance, it was clear on what I wanted my next chapter of my story,” said Ledee in the video. “I have decided to continue my athletic and academic career at the Ohio State University. Go Buckeyes.”

According to 247Sports, Ledee is ranked as the No. 115 overall player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 8 player from the state of Texas. He is the first commit in the Buckeyes’ 2018 class.

Ledee, who announced on Monday that he was preparing to make his decision, chose Ohio State over his top eight of Oklahoma, Texas A&M, LSU, Houston, Iowa State, California, and UCLA. He took his first official visit to Ohio State earlier this month (Sept. 9) before visiting Texas A&M this past weekend (Sept. 15). He had planned to visit LSU (Sept. 29) and UCLA (Oct. 6) but those have been canceled.
