Nate Laszewski, the 6-foot-10 power forward from Northfield Mount Hermon (MA) School, committed to Notre Dame on Wednesday per ESPN. He took an official visit to Notre Dame earlier this month (Sept. 9).

“Just sitting down and evaluating my options, it just felt right,” Laszewski told Scout.com. “I felt like I had the best relationship with the coaching staff there. I felt the University of Notre Dame could give me what I wanted in life.”

According to 247Sports, Laszewski is ranked as the No. 93 overall player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 4 player from the state of Massachusetts. He joins Prentiss Hubb, Robby Carmody, and Dane Goodwin, as the fourth commit in the Fighting Irish’s 2018 class.

Laszewski chose Notre Dame over schools such as North Carolina, Wake Forest, Wisconsin, Arizona, Baylor, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Miami, Nebraska, Princeton, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, Vanderbilt, Villanova, and Virginia, among others. In addition to his Notre Dame official, Laszewski also took official visits to Wake Forest (Sept. 16) and North Carolina (Sept. 22).

“Sitting down and thinking about it the past couple of days, I just wanted to make my decision,” Laszewski said.

“They’ve been up to the school to see me a lot,” he added. “I talk to them all the time and I really just liked that coaching staff.”

Notre Dame has been recruiting Laszewski for over two years and he took unofficial visits in 2015 and 2016, before his official earlier this month.

“It was really good,” Laszewski told Rivals of his Irish official. “I got to see a lot of the campus, hang out with the guys a little bit, play with them, go to the football game and meet some more people involved with the program.
