Two of the top prospects for 2018 have trimmed their lists of potential college suitors. The Sports U duo of five-star guard Jahvon Quinerly (247Sports #22) and five-star big man Naz Reid (247Sports #12) each trimmed their lists down to seven and ten schools, respectively per their personal twitters.

Quinerly, who leads the UAA circuit in offensive efficiency, trimmed his list to seven schools.

Many of these schools combine high level athletics with good academics, something he told Pat Lawless was a priority in an recent interview. Quinerly’s current 247Sports  CrystalBall is split 50/50 between St. John’s and Villanova. With the Johnnies out of the mix, it will be interesting to see who climbs into the mix.

With elite handles and vision, reigning New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year will be a key get for a team in need of a new point guard.

Reid, on the other hand, trimmed his list to ten schools.

The mobile big man cut Maryland, Syracuse, and St. John’s, all who have been actively pursuing the mobile big. Kentucky is the current leader with 43% of the 247Sports CrystalBall votes, despite the Wildcats not yet offering the Roselle Catholic big.

With range out to the three point line and the ability to put the ball on the floor, Reid will be an impact freshman come the fall of 2018.
