Saddiq Bey, a 6-foot-7 small forward from the Sidwell Friends (DC) School announced his commitment Thursday to NC State.

Brian Snow of Scout on Bey’s fit to NC State, “Bey, who is a big wing, should slide in right away and play small forward for the Wolfpack. At 6-foot-7, Bey has the ability to shoot from the outside as well as rebound and compete down low.”

According to 247Sports, Bey is the No. 83 overall player for the Class of 2018 and the No. 19 small forward. Bey is coming off a recent official visit to the Wolfpack on October 6th. The four-star small forward also took official visits to Pittsburgh (Sept. 1st), Xavier (Sept. 15th), Northwestern (Sept. 22nd), and Miami (Sept. 29th).

Bey joins four-star power forward Immanuel Bates, four-star power forward Ian Steere, and four-star wing Jericole Hellems for the North Carolina State 2018 recruiting class.

With the Wolfpack landing their fourth four-star prospect, it gives them the No. 12 recruiting class for 2018. If NC State were to land Keldon Johnson, it would give the Wolfpack the current No. 1 recruiting class for 2018.

Last season for the Sidwell Friends School, Bey averaged 14.5 points per game, 6.5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.
