CHICAGO – MJ Walker, the 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Jonesboro (GA) High School, named UCLA, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Ohio State, Maryland, Virginia Tech, and UNLV as the schools he is focusing on in his recruitment, on Tuesday at the McDonald’s All-American event.

Although he hasn’t taken any of his official visits yet, Walker still would like to take them soon.

“I don’t have any planned but I may set them up next week,” said Walker. “[My decision] is probably going come between April and May. I don’t know the exact date. If it takes up until the last day, then it takes until the last day.”

Walker, who is competing in the McDonald’s All-American Game Wednesday, spoke about the experience:

“It’s exciting. We’ve been here for two, three days and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it,” he said. “It’s a business trip. I’m out here to compete and we all have a chip on our shoulders.”

This season at Jonesboro, Walker averaged 28.7 points, 3.0 steals, and 7.4 rebounds.
