Mater Dei Lands 2019 Four-Star Transfer PJ Fuller

High school player transfers continued in earnest this summer. One of the most eye-catching transfers was 2019 four-star shooting guard P.J. Fuller who decided to leave Nathan Hale (WA) and transfer to Mater Dei (CA) High School for the coming season. The transfer was confirmed by Devin Ugland on Twitter.

Led by Missouri incoming freshman Michael Porter Jr. and younger brother Jontay Porter, Nathan Hale finished the 2016-17 with an undefeated record and a overall number one ranking.

Last season, Fuller averaged 15.4 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 16 games. He currently has offers from schools such as Washington, Arizona State, California, Florida State, Oregon State, Tennesee, UNLV, and USC, among others.

After losing to Bishop Montgomery last season in the California State tournament, the Monarchs will be contenders to win a state title this year and possibly a national championship.

The team already has a great point guard in Harvard commit Spencer Freedman. Freedman will be entering his senior season. The real star of the team is 2018 five-star big man Bol Bol. Son of NBA legend Manute Bol, Bol stands well over 7-feet tall and is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 3 overall player in the Class of 2018.

Adding Fuller to an already stacked Mater Dei lineup makes the Monarch’s a potentially lethal team for the coming season.

According to 247Sports, Fuller is ranked as the No. 34 overall player in the Class of 2019 industry-generated Composite Rankings and the No. 4 rated shooting guard.
