Marvin Bagley III, the 6-foot-10 power forward and consensus No. 1 player in the class of 2018, will take an official visit to Duke in July per Adam Rowe of 247Sports.

Bagley is currently considering six schools: Arizona, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, UCLA and USC.

“Somewhere I could go and get better,” Bagley told D1Vision last month about what he’s looking for in a school. “That’s my main focus. That’s what I tell everybody. It’s not about the name. It’s not about all the news and the hype. It’s about where I can go and get better. Wherever that place may be out of my list is where I’ll go.”

Last month at the Nike EYBL session in Los Angeles, Bagley spoke about the Blue Devils.

“Duke speaks for itself,” he said. “It’s a great school. Coach [Mike Krzyzewski], [Jeff] Capel, and all those guys are in the tournament every year. It’s a great school.”

Playing with Nike Phamily on the Nike EYBL, Bagley is averaging 25.8 points and 14.9 rebounds, leading them to Peach Jam despite a dismal 2-14 regular season record. Bagley finished second in the EYBL in points per game and first in rebounds per game.
