Marvin Bagley III Schedules a Fourth Official Visit; Files Paperwork with NCAA Clearinghouse

MARVIN BAGLEY III

Chatsworth (CA) Sierra Canyon five-star forward Marvin Bagley III has scheduled a fourth official visit, this one to in-state UCLA, as was reported by Paul Biancardi. Bagley is scheduled to visit the Westwood campus August 10-12.

The top prospect in the 2018 class created a buzz as the decision to reclass into 2017 became an option.

According to Evan Daniels of Scout.com, Bagley has filed the NCAA Paperwork to potentially reclassify. Filing the paperwork doesn’t guarantee that Bagley will be cleared for the 2017 class, but that he’s asking the NCAA to review and evaluate his academic standing to potentially do so.

Bagley has a list of six schools: USC, UCLA, Duke, Kentucky, Kansas and Arizona. The ultra talented forward officially visited Duke earlier this month and just wrapped up an official to USC. During his USC visit, Andy Enfield offered all three of the Bagley boys, Marvin, 2020 wing Marcus and eight year old Martray. Bagley is scheduled to officially visit Arizona August 2-4.

Playing with Nike Phamily (CA) of the EYBL Summer League, Bagley averaged 25.5 points on 53.5% from the field, an EYBL leading 14.7 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 1.8 assists in 21.6 minutes per over an 18-game window.

Duke is the current 247Sports CrystalBall leader, owning 86% of the vote. USC is the only other school to receive votes. Reclassification and a commitment to the Blue Devils would leap frog Duke over Kentucky and give Mike Krzyzewski the top recruiting class for the second consecutive year.

Many experts believe Marvin Bagley would be the number one pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. DraftExpress currently has Missouri commit Michael Porter Jr as the projected top pick for the 2018 NBA Draft. If Bagley does if fact reclassify, he would be eligible for the 2018 NBA Draft and most assuredly would be a top 10 pick.
