Markelle Fultz Declares for 2017 NBA Draft

Markelle Fultz, the 6-4 point guard from the University of Washington, will enter the 2017 NBA Draft, he announced on Twitter Friday.

Fultz who finished the season averaging 23.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.9 assists is projected to be the top pick in the draft according to Draftexpress.

“I think I had a good season,” Fultz said. “There was some stuff I could have done better. Overall I think I did a great job of sticking with it and being a leader. I think I became a much better player. I played an all-around game, not just offense or scoring or passing.”

Washington’s season came to an end on Wednesday, following a 73-78 loss versus USC. They finished the season with a dismal 9-22 record, losing their final 13 games of the season.
