2018 Forward Marcus Bingham Jr. to Commit Friday

Marcus Bingham Jr., the 6-foot-10 power forward from Catholic Central (MI) High School, will announce his college decision on Friday per Joseph Tipton.

Bingham holds offers from schools such as Butler, Purdue, Bradley, DePaul, Michigan State, Oakland, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Toledo, VCU, Washington, Xavier, among others. He has taken unofficial visits to two unofficial vists to Butler (Apr. 30 and June 17). He also took an unofficial visit to Purdue earlier this month (June 13).

Playing with Spiece Indy Heat on the Nike EYBL circuit, Bingham has averaged 8.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game through 16 games. They finished with a 7-9 record, missing out on Peach Jam. Bingham’s teammate with Spiece Indy Heat, Brandon Johns announced his commitment to Michigan on Thursday.

According to 247Sports, Bingham is ranked as the No. 79 player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 2 player from the state of Michigan. The 247Sports Crystal Ball gives Michigan State a 50 percent chance of landing Bingham, with the other 50 percent being “foggy”. Rumors emerged Thursday that Bingham will be choosing Michigan State.
