2018 Point Guard Keyshawn Embery Commits to Arkansas

IMG Academy (FL) 2018 point guard Keyshawn Embery has committed to Mike Anderson and the Arkansas Razorbacks. Embery chose the Hogs over Butler, West Virginia, Arizona State and Texas A&M. He officially visited Arkansas the weekend of August 25.

“On both of my visits (to Arkansas), it just felt like home,” Embery told Whole Hog Sports. “I thought I would just fit in right away. When I came back from the second visit, I was sure. I love the coaching staff, the players how they bond with each other and how they get along so well and how they just are around each other all the time like brothers.”

Asked what the message was from Coach Anderson.

“He just wants me to be me – score when I need to, facilitate when I need to, just come in and take on a big load as a freshman,” Embery said. “He wants me to continue to improve at IMG and get ready to come in be ready to play right away.”

Running with Oklahoma Run PWP on the Under Armour Grassroots summer circuit, Embery averaged 14.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.3 steals per outing.

Embery — the No. 120 ranked player in the industry-generated 247Sports composite rankings — joins three-stars Isaiah Joe, Ethan Henderson and Desi Sills as Arkansas’ fourth commit. He is the only commit outside the state of Arkansas. The Hogs now have the 2018 No. 12 recruiting class.

Well congratulations to my first born son/child Keyshawn Embery. Jermaine Simpson has tired to step in as he raised Keyshawn since birth, but of course that isn’t true. If he was a true supporter of my son he would be teaching him the real fundamentals of life and not just basketball. All though Keyshawn might preform well on the court,he has alot to learn about being a real man. Sincerely, Tameka Harvey
