Kentucky offered Spartanburg (SC) Spartanburg Day wing Zion Williamson Tuesday evening after a visit from Hall of Fame coach John Calipari.

Williamson has been one of the rising stars in the 2018 class, and at age 16, he is a consistent highlight reel. The 2018 five-star averaged 36.8 points per outing while shooting a ridiculous .763 (528/692) from the field, many of those being dunks of the athletic kind.

At last count, Williamson had 35 offers, a list that includes the like of Kansas, Duke, North Carolina, Oregon, Arizona, UCLA, Florida and in-state Final Four contender South Carolina.

Asked if the location is important, Williamson was clear on what he is looking for in a school.

“Location is not a problem for me,” Williamson told SEC Country when asked about his decision. “The main thing for me, the type of relationship they have for me and my family. And what plan do they have for me in my future, outside of basketball.”

Williamson has unofficially visited South Carolina, Clemson, Duke, North Carolina and Wofford, the school that provided him with his first ever offer. Don’t expect a decision anytime soon as reports state Williamson plans to wait until after his senior season to announce his decision.

You can see Williamson on the Adidas Uprising Summer Circuit which starts in Dallas at the end of April.
