Kansas Dominates BIG-12 Postseason Awards

Kansas dominated the 2016-17 Big-12 Postseason Awards with Bill Self (Coach), Frank Mason III (Player) and Josh Jackson (Freshman) claiming three of the six individual awards. West Virginia teammates Jevon Carter and Tank Phillip earned Defensive Player and Sixth Man honors respectively while Baylor junior Manu Lacomte was named the Newcomer of the Year.

Frank Mason III, who led the Big 12 in scoring at 20.5 points per to go with 5.1 assists, and Josh Jackson, who led the Big 12 Freshman in scoring at 16.4 points per, both earned unanimous selections.

Bill Self matched UCLA for the most consecutive conference crowns in college basketball history as Self and the Jayhawks earned their 13th-straight Big 12 regular season title, finishing the conference season at 16-2, four games clear of second-place Baylor.
