Josh Jackson, 6-foot-8 freshman small forward from Kansas, announced his decision to declare for the NBA Draft on Monday. Jackson signed with former NBA player B.J. Armstrong of Wasserman Media Group.

“After thoroughly consulting with my family, I have decided to enter the 2017 NBA draft and pursue my dream of playing professional basketball,” Jackson said in a statement Monday.

Kansas was eliminated from the NCAA Tournament last month in the Elite 8 with a  74-60 loss to Oregon. Jackson finished the game with 10 points and 13 rebounds.

“I am very thankful for all of the support I have received from my coaches and teammates at Kansas,” he said, “and I look forward to starting my career in the NBA.”

Jackson was instrumental in leading the Jayhawks to a 31-4 record (16-2 Big 12) and a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, averaging 16.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists shooting 38.6% from three through 34 games.

DraftExpress projects Jackson as the #3 pick in the 2017 Draft.
