Jemarl Baker Reveals Top Nine Schools

Jemarl Baker Top Nine

Former Cal commit Jemarl Baker revealed his top nine schools Tuesday following his release last week. Baker is now considering Kentucky, Duke, Utah, Arizona, Marquette, Maryland, Oregon, Arizona State, and SDSU.

Following the departure of California head coach Cuonzo Martin for Missouri, Baker requested his release from the Bears. He had been committed since December 31.

Baker, a 6-foot-2 shooting guard from Theodore Roosevelt (CA) Senior High School, is expected to be visited by Kentucky head coach John Calipari sometime this week. Calipari is also expected to visit uncommitted 2017 point guard Mark Smith Thursday.

As one of the lone 2017 recruits left uncommitted, Baker has been highly recruited since his release. He is ranked by 247Sports as the #16 shooting guard and #73 overall player in the class of 2017.
