2018 Three-Star Jared Rhoden Commits to Seton Hall

Jared Rhoden, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Our Saviour Lutheran (NY) School has announced his commitment to Seton Hall via Twitter.

“Playing college basketball has been a dream for me and now it is becoming a reality. I have been blessed with so many opportunities. I wanted to take this time to express my gratitude to all the schools that have put in the effort to recruit me,” Rhoden released in a statement.

According to 247Sports Rhoden is the No. 150 overall player for the Class of 2018 and the No. 3 player in the state of New York. This Summer playing with the New York Lightning on the Nike EYBL Circuit, he averaged 14.1 points and 5.4 rebounds while shooting 55.9 percent from the field in 21 games.

“If you know me well, you know this process has been both tough and exciting, but with guidance from God and my family, I have been able to persevere. I am now ready to continue my hard work on the next level. I know what I want to do, I’m going to Seton Hall.”

Rhoden announced a final five schools on September 23rd via Twitter consisting of Santa Clara, Wichita State, Saint Louis, Penn State, and Seton Hall. Rhoden took official visits to Saint Louis (Sept. 29th), Wichita State (Oct. 6th), Seton Hall (Oct. 13th), and Penn State (Oct. 20th).

Rhoden joins New York Lightning AAU teammate¬†Anthony Nelson, a three-star point guard for Seton Hall’s 2018 recruiting class.
