Kansas, Villanova, Miami, Rutgers, UConn and Syracuse remain for Immaculate Conception School (NJ) 2018 four-star point guard Jalen Carey, per his twitter.

Carey trimmed his list to ten schools back in late June. Florida, Indiana, Notre Dame, Seton Hall and Temple were cut from his final six while Villanova was added. The Wildcats are the latest to offer for the ultra-talented lead guard, extending the offer towards the end of July.

Carey has unofficially visited UConn, Syracuse and Rutgers, according to 247Sports. He has yet to take or publicly schedule any official visits.

Rutgers continued their recent recruiting momentum gained Friday when four-star 2018 shooting guard Montez Mathis committed to the Scarlet Knights. Mathis is the Knights highest ranked recruit in years and would create a tremendous backcourt tandem with the addition of Carey.

Carey played on the Nike EYBL summer circuit with the Playaz out of New Jersey. Over the 21 game season, Carey averaged 18.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals. His scoring average of 18.1 points during the EYBL regular season was good enough for 14th best overall.

At the coveted Peach Jam in early July, Carey averaged 20.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 2.4 steals per outing. His efforts at Peach Jam earned him a spot on the All-Peach Jam Honorable Mention team.
