2018 Forward Jake Forrester Releases Final Eight

Jake Forrester Final 8

Jake Forrester, the 6-foot-8 power forward from Westtown (PA) School, released his final eight schools on Friday via Twitter. His final list includes Seton Hall, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Georgia Tech, Xavier, Virginia Tech, Indiana, and VCU.

“For the rest of the summer I will continue to work on the aspects of my game that need work,” Forrester told D1Circuit earlier this year. “I feel like I bring energy right when I get on the court to when I step off the court. I do not give up on any single play and I am there to help any teammate.”

Forrester has taken unofficial visits to Virginia Tech (May 14), Seton Hall (June 19), and Pittsburgh (June 22). He received offers from Xavier (June 17) and Georgia Tech (June 18) earlier this month.

After visiting Seton Hall in June it is clear that the Pirates see Forrester as a priority, especially as they are set to lose forwards Angel Delgado and Ish Sanogo. “With them gone, I would come in and work hard and become a major priority in the system they run,” he told ZagsBlog by phone in June. “I would come in, put in the work and become a major part at Seton Hall.”

According to 247Sports, Forrester is ranked as the No. 168 overall player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 3 player from the state of Pennsylvania. He is ranked as the No. 32 power forward in 2018 and is labeled as a three-star recruit.

Playing with the PSA Cardinals on the Nike EYBL circuit, Forrester averaged 6.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, 0.5 assists, and 0.7 blocks per game, in 11 games. With the Cardinals, he played alongside high school teammate and five-star recruit Cole Anthony. Anthony was named as the Nike EYBL Regular Season Defensive Player of the Year.
