Isaiah Stewart, the 6-foot-8 center from La Lumiere (IN) School, picked up an offer from Mike Krzyzewski and the Duke Blue Devils last week (Oct. 12). He spoke with D1VISION on Wednesday about the offer.

“I know it’s a great program with a legendary coach and great coaching staff as well,” said Stewart. “I know they develop their guys and are big on building a brotherhood with their guys as well. Overall, it’s a really great place academically and basketball-wise, it’s great as well.”

According to 247Sports, Stewart is ranked as the No. 30 overall player in the Class of 2019 and the No. 9 center in the class. He also picked up an offer from UConn last week (Oct. 14) and currently holds offers from schools such as Georgetown, Maryland, Notre Dame, Xavier, Buffalo, DePaul, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, George Washington, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Marquette, UMass, Memphis, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh, Providence, Saint Louis, Syracuse, Texas, Virginia, Wake Forest, and Washington, among others.

Last year, La Lumiere, led by McDonald’s All-American Brian Bowen and Jaren Jackson, won the Dick’s Nationals High School Invitational last year. Stewart transferred to La Lumiere in August.
