Hunter Dickinson, the 6-foot-11 center from DeMatha Catholic (MD) High School, told D1VISION on Tuesday that he will take an unofficial visit to Wake Forest this weekend (Sept. 30). He broke down what he likes about the Demon Deacons in advance of his visit.

“I’m familiar with Coach [Danny] Manning‘s career,” said Dickinson. “He was the number one player in high school as well as the number one draft pick in the NBA Draft. I know Wake Forest is a pretty good ACC team every year and I know they are a very good academic school.”

Dickinson, who holds offers from schools such as Notre Dame, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, Illinois, South Carolina, Iowa, USC, and Virginia, among others, will also take an unofficial visit to Notre Dame next month (Oct. 21).

“I really like Coach [Mike] Brey and his staff,” Dickinson said about Notre Dame on Tuesday. “He has really established a winning culture in South Bend. I really want to visit and see the campus.”

According to 247Sports, Dickinson is ranked as the No. 13 overall player in the Class of 2020 and the No. 1 player from the state of Maryland. He took an unofficial visit to Penn State earlier this month (Sept. 9).

Wake Forest currently has a three-man class of Isaiah Mucius, Jaylen Hoard, and Sharone Wright Jr.. Notre Dame’s 2018 class consists of Prentiss Hubb, Robby Carmody, and Dane Goodwin.
