Greg Foster Jr., the 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Ed W. Clark (NV) High School, committed to head coach Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs on Tuesday Portland Basketball Club coach Mike Plank told Scout on Tuesday.

“They answered all the question for him down the stretch,” Plank said. “They essentially told him if you are competitive, come in here and compete and you’re the point guard of our future.”

According to 247Sports, Foster is ranked as the No. 264 overall player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 6 player from the state of Nevada. He joins Filip Petrusev as the second commit in the Bulldogs’ 2018 class.

Foster received an offer from Gonzaga on October 1 and committed a little more than a month later. He chose Gonzaga over Saint Mary’s and also had interest from DePaul, Marquette, and Wisconsin, among others. He took official visits to both Gonzaga and Saint Mary’s.

“He’s a big guard,” Plank said. “He’s a point. He’s going to play a lot of point guard. He’s really athletic and has a really good feel.”
