JoJo Toppin, the 6-foot-6 small forward from Norcross (GA) High School, committed and signed with Georgia on Thursday perDan McDonald of Rivals.

“We are excited to add Amanze [Ngumezi] and JoJo to our team as they add legitimate SEC size and athleticism for their respective positions,” Georgia head coach Mark Fox said on Thursday in a press release. “Amanze provides us a big and explosive front line player who also has great ability to shoot the ball from the perimeter. JoJo is a quick slasher who is very athletic at the rim. Together, they address the needs that will be created when this senior class departs.”

According to 247Sports, Toppin is ranked as the No. 168 overall player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 8 player from the state of Georgia. He joins Amanze Ngumezi as the second commit in Georgia’s 2018 class. Ngumezi also signed his NLI this week.

Georgia originally received a commitment from 2018 forward Landers Nolley earlier this year, before he de-committed the following day and eventually committed to Virginia Tech.

Toppin chose Georgia over schools such as Bradley, Auburn, Colorado State, Tennessee, Dayton, FIU, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Radford, Tulane, and UCF, among others. He took his first and only official visit to Bradley earlier this year (Sept. 29) and took an unofficial visit to Georgia earlier this year (Sept. 23).
