M.J. Walker — a five-star guard out of Jonesboro (GA) Jonesboro High — has committed to Leonard Hamilton and the Florida State Seminoles.

Walker was just one of three Top 100 players from the 247Sports 2017 Player Rankings remaining prior to today’s decision.

With his commitment, Walker joins Ike Obiagu, Wyatt Wilkes, Anthony Polite, RaiQuan Gray and Bryan Trimble as the sixth member of Florida State’s 2017 class. A class that is now ranked 12th in the 247Sports 2017 Class Composite Rankings.

What is Florida State getting in Walker?

He’s man among boys in his age group as he already owns a strong body and high level athleticism to match his good size for the wing. Walker is not only able to hold his own against older competition, but he’s often able to impose his will physically as he isn’t bothered by a bump and often willing to initiate the contact to overpower his defender. – Per ESPN.

With Walker off the board, only Brian Bowen and Tremont Waters remain available in the 2017 Top 100. Neither have declared a timeline for an announcement.
