Joey Baker, a 6-foot-7 wing from Trinity Christian (NC) School, announced his commitment to Duke on Sunday.

“I’m joining the brotherhood,” Baker said via his Twitter account.

“I’m trembling,” Baker told Scout moments after his pledge. “It’s cool.”

“I just feel like I fit there on the court and off the court,” Baker said. “They are a family and I feel like I fit in there. I talked to the coaches and I took a good amount of visits. It’s where I want to be and I’m comfortable.”

Baker is coming off an unofficial visit to Duke’s Countdown to Craziness on October 20th. Duke extended an offer to the five-star wing on October 1st.

Baker chose the Blue Devils over Louisville, Clemson, Georgia Tech, UCLA, Florida and Kansas, among others.

Baker averaged 14.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.8 blocks per outing while playing with Team Felton on the Under Armour Grassroots circuit this Summer.

According to 247Sports Baker is the No. 20 overall player for the Class of 2019 and the No. 1 player in the state of North Carolina. He is the first commit in the 2019 class for Coach Mike Krzyzewski.
