Dwayne Cohill, the 6-foot-2 combo guard from Holy Name (OH) High School, told D1Vision on Friday that he has set official visits to Ohio State (Sept. 23) and Virginia Tech (Oct. 20). He broke down both schools for D1Vision:

Ohio State: “The coaching staff is all great people. I like the idea of possibly playing for my hometown team. It’s close to home and I feel that I can make a big impact there. They need a guard and have made me a priority.”

Virginia Tech: “They have also made me a priority. I have a great relationship with the staff and I like the feel of the school. I also feel that I can make an impact there. It’s in the ACC and I would love to play in that conference because of the big time basketball that’s played night in and night out.”

Ohio State currently has one commit in the 2018 class in Torrence Watson. Virginia Tech also has one commit in their 2018 class in Jarren McAllister.

Cohill is currently down to ten schools: Ohio State, Vanderbilt, Dayton, Clemson, UNLV, West Virginia, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh and Texas. “I want to plan some more visits,” said Cohill. “I’m in process of figuring out my other ones.”

According to 247Sports, Cohill is ranked as the No. 82 overall player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 4 player from the state of Ohio.
