Oak Hill Academy (VA) David McCormack released his final six schools via Instagram on Monday. McCormack named Duke, Kansas, NC State, Oklahoma State, Xavier and UCLA as the schools he will move forward with.

The rising four-star gained considerable interest during the summer adidas Uprising Gauntlet circuit, mainly due to the effort he made in conditioning of his body.

“My typical day-to-day, just changing my diet,” McCormack told 247Sports. “More sleep for my body, more resting and icing and recovering. And everything, all of the small things, helped me develop a new me.”

The 6-foot-9 big man recently talked to D1Vision about the unofficial visit he took to Kansas.

“It’s a great environment. I really enjoyed myself there,” said McCormack. “They told me how they’re likely losing their top six guys. Billy [Preston] will be gone, Devonte [Graham] will be gone, so I’ll be able to play inside and out. They’ll be able to take advantage of what I can do.”

McCormack has yet to schedule a decision date, but he knows what he’s looking for in a school.

“Definitely the relationship with coaches, being able to play through mistakes, and develop my game,” said McCormack. “Conditioning and development is important, as well as my major. I want to major in communications or journalism because I want to go into sports broadcasting. History also plays into it, as far as being a good coach and how they develop their players.”

McCormack, who will be returning to Oak Hill for his senior year, is already focused on the upcoming season. “I want to work on everything,” McCormack stated. “My method is once you attack your body, everything gets better, so if you attack your body and get better, you will have better moves and improve your game overall, defensively and offensively.”

According to the Wolfpacker, McCormack has set an official visit to NC State for the weekend beginning Sept. 1.
