David Duke, a 6-foot-3 point guard out of Providence (RI) Cushing Academy, has scheduled three official visits, according to Rivals. Originally working with a list of five, Duke will focus on Villanova, Florida, Providence and Virginia Tech moving forward. Indiana is officially out.

Duke will take his first official visit this weekend at Florida (Sept.23). Virginia Tech will host Duke the next weekend for his second official visit (Sept. 29), followed by his final scheduled official visit to Villanova (Oct. 5).

Duke was one of the up and comers during the summer evaluation periods. Garnering multiple offers as coaches had a chance to see the emerging point guard against elite talent.

Rivals analyst Corey Evans had this to say: “Duke is a 6-foot-4 point guard blessed with an explosive first step, an excellent feel and pace for the game, and has evolved into one of the top on-ball defenders in the country.”

Playing with Mass Rivals on the adidas Gauntlet summer circuit, the rising four-star averaged 9.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists in only 16.2 minutes per outing. That equates to 22.2 points, 8.9 rebounds and 7.9 assists per 40.

Jay Wright, Ed Cooley, Mike White and Buzz Williams were all in last week to see Duke who is expected to commit during the early period.
