Marcus Zegarowski, the 6-foot-1 point guard from Tilton (NH) School, announced his commitment to Creighton on Monday via Twitter. His commitment comes just a few days after his official visit to the school (Aug. 30).

“First off, I would like to thank God because, without him, none of this would be possible,” said Zegarowski in a statement released via Twitter. “I want to thank my friends and teammates for the support on and off the court. I would also like to thank my high school coaches: Doug Hoak, Marcus O’Neil, Todd Quarrles, and my dad who taught me everything I know.”

According to 247Sports, Zegarowski is ranked as the No. 215 overall player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 4 player from the state of Massachusetts. He joins Ian Steere and Christian Bishop as the third commit in the Blue Jays’ 2018 class. Zegarowski chose Creighton over Minnesota, Ohio State, and Washington.

“The coaching staff is great,” Zegarowski told D1VISION. “The facilities are amazing, they play in the Big East Conference, and the style of play fits my play style.”

Playing for Expressions Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit this summer, Zegarowski averaged 15.6 points and 3.4 assists per game, in 21 games. He is considered to be one of the top shooters in the 2018 class.

“They play fast, unselfish, and can shoot threes,” said Zegarowski about Creighton. “I can shoot and drive so I drive and kick it when there is no help and score.”

In addition to Zegarowski’s recent official visit, he also took an unofficial visit to Creighton in the summer (June 25) and first received an offer from the Blue Jays in May.

“I’m just excited to see my teammates and coaches. I’m also excited to compete and have fun,” said Zegarowski.
