College Coaches Reach Out 2019

On Thursday morning at midnight, NCAA coaches were permitted to start reaching out to rising juniors and many of the top 2019 players in the nation began receiving calls.

**RJ Barrett, the 6-foot-6 small forward from Montverde (FL) Academy, told Adam Zagoria Thursday that Arizona, UCLA, USC, Kentucky, Texas, Kansas, UNLV, South Carolina, Illinois, Duke, Oregon, and Michigan were among the schools to reach out. Barrett is considering reclassifying to 2018, which would make him eligible for the 2019 NBA Draft.

**Josh Green, the 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Hillcrest (AZ) Prep, says Arizona, UNLV, Michigan, Marquette, Arizona State, Washington, USC, Stanford, Oregon, UCLA, TCU, Wake Forest, California, Gonzaga, Utah, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M were among the schools to reach out on Thursday. Green recently took an unofficial visit to Arizona earlier this week (June 13).

**Vernon Carey Jr., the 6-foot-9 power forward from University (FL) School, received calls from Georgia State, Miami, Florida, Baylor, Louisville, Ohio State, Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, UCLA, Georgetown, Memphis, TCU, and USC on Thursday. Carey is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 2 prospect in the Class of 2019.

**Decorian “DJ” Jeffries, the 6-foot-7 small forward from Olive Branch (MS) High School, named Ole Miss, Florida, Mississippi State, and LSU as the four schools that reached out to him at midnight Thursday morning. Jeffries has also received offers from Georgia, Iowa State, Kansas, Maryland, Memphis, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, USC, among others.

**Matthew Hurt,  the 6-foot-8 power forward from John Marshall (MN) Senior High School, says Minnesota called him at midnight on Thursday and has since then received voicemails from Duke, Kansas, Indiana and Notre Dame. He also received calls from head coaches of Minnesota, Duke, Kansas, Indiana, Notre Dame, UCLA, and Wisconsin. He received calls from assistants of UNC, Louisville, Minnesota, Kentucky, Kansas, Indiana, Creighton, Duke, UCLA, and Ohio State.

**Maxwell Lorca Lloyd, the 6-foot-8 power forward from Northfield Mount Hermon (MA) School, says he received calls from Columbia, Ohio State, Rice, UConn, Georgia Tech, Yale, Boston College and George Washington on Thursday. Lloyd also holds offers from Penn State, St. Peter’s, among others.

**James Wiseman, the 6-foot-10 power forward from Ensworth (TN) High School, received calls from Kentucky, Duke, Texas, Alabama, Memphis, and Florida on Thursday. Wiseman also received an offer from Kansas on Thursday.

**Keion Brooks, the 6-foot-8 small forward from North Side (IN) High School, says that UCLA, Kentucky, Michigan State, DePaul, Iowa, Ohio State, Georgetown, Wisconsin, Tulsa, Indiana, Notre Dame, Memphis, Purdue, Florida, Michigan, Virginia and Louisville were among the schools that have called since Thursday.

**Jeremiah Francis, the 6-foot-3 point guard from Pickering Central (OH) High School, listed Purdue, Dayton, Miami, Cincinnati, Ohio State, and New Mexico as the schools to reach out on Thursday. Francis recently took an unofficial visit to UNC earlier this week (Jun. 11).

**Cole Anthony, the 6-foot-1 point guard from Archbishop Molloy (NY) High School, named Indiana, Baylor, North Carolina, Duke, Illinois, Oregon, UCLA, Maryland, Georgetown, Stanford, Villanova, UConn, St. John’s, Miami, Wake Forest, Lousiville, Virginia, Kansas, Notre Dame, Utah, Arizona, UNLV, Pitt, Ohio State, Cal and Memphis as the schools to reach out on Thursday. Anthony is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 2 point guard in the Class of 2019.

**Josh Nickelberry, the 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Oak Hill (VA) Academy, named USC, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Miami, Florida State, Florida, Michigan UNLV, Memphis, Auburn, Georgia Tech, NC State, Marquette, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Tulsa, Wake Forest, Baylor, UConn as the schools to reach out on Thursday. Nickelberry is listed as a four-star recruit by 247Sports.

**Grant Sherfield, the 6-foot-2 point guard from Mansfield Summit (TX) High School, listed Missouri, Oklahoma State, TCU, Oklahoma, Alabama, Louisville, Wichita State, Mississippi State, UCLA, Portland, Wake Forest, Texas, Wisconsin, SMU, Kansas State, Virginia, LSU, Stanford, Texas Tech, Illinois and California as the schools that have reached out since Thursday. Sherfield also received an offer from Illinois Thursday.

**Tyrese Maxey, the 6-foot-2 shooting guard from South Garland (TX) High School, says Baylor, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, UNLV, USC, and Texas were the six schools to reach out on Thursday. Maxey also holds offers from California, Florida State, Georgia Tech, LSU, Oklahoma, SMU, Stanford, among others.

**Connor Printz, the 6-foot-4 shooting guard from The Taft (CT) School, listed Northeastern, UConn, Kansas State, Davidson, Columbia, and Akron as the schools to reach out Thursday. He also later added that he received a call from Stanford later in the day.

**Christian Brown, the 6-foot-7 small forward from A C Flora (SC) High School, named UNC, UConn, Florida, Georgia, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, USC, Clemson, UMass, Kansas, Texas, Texas AM, Harvard, Tulsa, Oklahoma State, Western Kentucky, Kentucky, Stanford, Yale, Auburn, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, and NC State as the schools to reach out Thursday.
