Trey Jemison, the 6-foot-11 power forward from Hoover (AL) High School, announced his commitment to Clemson on Wednesday via Twitter.

“First off, I just want to thank God for all he has done in my life, from growing as a young man to the game of basketball,” said Jemison in a statement released via Twitter. “During this process, I learned that basketball is not who I am but what I do. Thanks to all my family and loved ones who were there for me through this process. Thanks to everybody who supported me from the first day of recruiting to now.”

According to 247Sports, Jemison is ranked as the No. 205 overall player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 4 player from the state of Alabama. He joins John Newman and Hunter Tyson as the third commit in the Tigers’ 2018 class.

“I’m so truly blessed to be a highly recruited athlete and to have been recruited by so many division one schools,” said Jemison. “At the conclusion of many nights of prayer, I’ve found peace in my college decision and I will be attending Clemson University to continue my education and playing basketball. #TigerPride.”

Jemison chose Clemson over schools such as Harvard, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Alabama, Auburn, Oklahoma State, Saint Louis, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt, among others. He took his first and only official visit to Harvard last month (Sept. 29).
