Andre Kelly, the 6-foot-7 power forward from Lincoln (CA) High School, committed to California on Sunday per Team Arsenal, his AAU team. Kelly’s commitment comes one day after his official visit to Cal on Saturday (Sept. 2).

“My parents, friends, coaches, everyone could watch me play, and everyone I’ve grown up with,” Kelly told 247Sports after receiving an offer from the Bears in May. “I watched Cal a lot. I went there for football games, basketball games, been to the campus. I went there one day when they played USC in football, for my friend’s birthday, actually, since one of his parents went to Cal. I saw the frat parties and things like that, so it was cool.”

According to 247Sports, Kelly is ranked as the No. 246 overall player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 27 player from the state of California. He joins Matt Bradley and Jacobi Gordon as the third commit in California’s 2018 class, giving the Bears the No. 10 ranked recruiting class in 2018 per 247Sports.

Kelly chose California over schools such as Nevada, Washington State, Iowa State, Pacific, San Francisco, UC Santa Barbara, Fresno State, Montana, and San Jose State, among others.
