Encino (CA) Crespi Carmelite High School 6-foot-1 point guard Brandon Williams announced via his Twitter account that he plans to end his recruitment this week.

The five-star top 20 Williams recently cut his list to a final five consisting of UCLA, Arizona, Kansas, USC and Gonzaga.

Williams took an unofficial visit to UCLA in mid-April. He has also taken unofficial visits to Arizona (Oct. 14), Kansas (Oct. 1) and USC (Sept. 10). He received an in-home visit from Gonzaga head coach Mark Few in April.

“We really talked a lot about their (Gonzaga’s) playing style and how their guards get to play,” Williams told Scout. “They were just a couple plays away from winning a National Championship and they were talking to me about how they install all of these ball screens and how their guards use them.”

Williams missed the entire AAU season due to a knee injury. An injury he says is recovering fine.

“Everything is going fine,” Williams confirmed. “When you have surgery, you don’t really like rehab, but it’s something you have to do.”

“Two Monday’s ago, I started running in the anti-gravity machine, like the one that Kobe used after his Achilles,” Williams stated. “With my work ethic, I think I should be back on the court no later than July.”

Arizona is the current favorite to land Wiggins, owning 100% of the minimal votes on the 247Sports CrystalBall.
