For the 19th season the Big Ten will face the ACC in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge. The ACC owns the matchup between the two conferences that have combined for 24 NCAA D1 Men’s Basketball titles since 1939.

Preseason No. 21 Notre Dame at No. 3 Michigan State is the best matchup by the rankings. The Spartans return a team some consider to be National Champion caliber led by the returning Big Ten Freshman of the Year and All-American candidate Miles Bridges.

The most intriguing matchup may be when No. 5 Duke — who boast the number two recruiting class in the country — travels to Bloomington to face Indiana in a huge non-conference game for new Hoosiers coach Archie Miller. Expect Assembly Hall to be a madhouse, not Indiana vs Kentucky, but it could be close.

No. 12 Miami will travel to face a Minnesota team who is coming off their best season since the 2012-13 year when the Gophers went 21-13, and finished with a trip to the round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament.

Michigan will travel to Tobacco Road to face the defending national champions and No. 7 ranked North Carolina Tar Heels.
