Armando Bacot, the 6-foot-9 power forward from Trinity Episcopal (VA) School, named Kansas, Duke, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Virginia, VCU, Villanova, UCLA, Oklahoma State, and Georgetown as his top ten schools on Wednesday via Twitter.

In August, Bacot told D1VISION that Duke, Kansas, Oklahoma State, VCU, Villanova, UCLA, and Virginia Tech were the schools recruiting him the hardest. He broke down each school.

Kansas: “They’ve got a rich history with big men. Frank Mason III went to Kansas so they have a good connection with Team Loaded.”

Oklahoma State: “Coach [DavidKontaxis and coach Mike [Boynton Jr.] are both good dudes. They really have a good plan for me if I were to come there. Coach Kontaxis used to be a Team Loaded coach so having a prior relationship with him helps.”

VCU: “They are like ten minutes away from me. Coach [MikeRhoades and coach [JDByers are cool guys. The atmosphere is crazy. I can tell they really want me.”

Villanova: “Coach [JayWright and their assistant coaches have been recruiting me hard. Coach Wright really likes my game and thinks I could be a really good player.”

UCLA: “Coach [SteveAlford and Coach [DavidGrace offered me during the first live period this year. UCLA is a great area. They’ve got the most national championships. I know coach Alford gets a lot of players to the NBA.”

Virginia Tech: “Coach [ChristianWebster was the first coach to offer me. I know he’s been big on my game. I know if I went there, he’d really look out for me.”

According to 247Sports, Bacot is ranked as the No. 16 overall player in the Class of 2019 and the No. 1 player from the state of Virginia. After taking an unofficial visit to Georgetown last weekend (Oct. 13), Bacot will trip to Duke for an unofficial visit this weekend (Oct. 20).

With Bacot cutting his list so early in his junior year, some believe that he may reclassify to the 2018 class. Bacot denied rumors of a possible reclassification to D1VISION on Wednesday.

Bacot has also taken unofficial visits to Virginia Tech (Sept. 29), Villanova (Sept. 30), and Providence (Oct. 6). However, Providence did not make the cut for his top ten.
