Shareef O’Neal and Brandon Williams will reportedly wait until the Spring period to sign due to questions surrounding the ongoing FBI Investigation that directly involved Arizona assistant coach Book Richardson.

“It looks like it will probably be a spring decision,” Williams father Chris Wright told the Daily Star. “We’re still 100 percent Arizona and not looking at other schools but still looking at it day by day. If Sean Miller gets through this investigation, there’s a good chance he’ll sign.”

The future of head coach Sean Miller and potential NCAA sanctions are expected to weigh heavily on future decisions.

People say, “if you’re 100 percent committed, why not sign?’” Wright said. “It’s, ‘dude, there’s an FBI investigation.’”

Arizona lost the commitment of 2018 five-star point guard Jahvon Quinerly in October. He is currently uncommitted and his future in college basketball is unclear at this point. Quinerly was named in the FBI probe.

Prior to the decommitment of Quinerly, the Wildcats held the No. 2 recruiting class, trailing only North Carolina. Arizona now ranks 23rd with real concerns of potentially dropping out of the top 50 with the removal of either of their current two remaining commits.

Arizona is ranked No. 3 in the recently released AP Preseason Poll, trailing only Michigan State and top ranked Duke.
