Jahvon Quinerly, the 6-foot point guard from Hudson Catholic (NJ) High School, announced his commitment to Arizona on Tuesday on ESPN U during the SC30 Select Camp.

Quinerly visited Arizona for an official visit earlier this summer (June 24).

Playing on the Under Armour Circuit with Sports U, Quinerly was the third leading scorer, averaging 18.8 points and had the second most assists per game on the circuit with 5.1 per game. Quinerly was named MVP of the Under Armour Association.

There have been rumors of a possible package deal between Quinerly and his teammate with Sports U, Naz Reid, who has Arizona included in his final seven.

Reid spoke with ZAGSBLOG in July about a possible package deal:“Yeah, no doubt we could go to school together,” Reid said. “I love the way he plays, he loves the way I play. He’s like my brother. Of course, we talk about a lot together.”

According to 247Sports, Quinerly is ranked as the No. 15 overall player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 4 point guard in the class.

Quinerly chose Arizona over schools such as Villanova, Kansas, Seton Hall, Stanford, UCLA, and Virginia. With Quinerly’s commitment, Arizona is no longer an option for 2018 PG Devon Dotsonhis father told ZAGSBLOG. Dotson visited Arizona for an official last week (Aug. 1). He is still looking to set up official visits to Kansas and Florida
