AJ Reeves Commits Hoopseen

AJ Reeves, the 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Brimmer and May (MA) School, committed to Providence on Sunday at their elite camp per Corey Evans of Rivals and Andrew Slater of 247Sports.

He is the first commit in Providence’s 2018 class. Last summer, Reeves played with incoming Providence freshman Makai Ashton-Langford on the travel circuit with Mass Rivals.

Ranked by by 247Sports as the No. 77 overall player in the Class of 2018, Reeves chose Providence over Louisville, Virginia, and Villanova. Reeves’ commitment gives Providence four remaining scholarships for the 2017-18 season.

The Friars remain heavily invested in 2018 combo guard David Duke. Rivals describes Reeves as “a knockdown shooter with an over 35-inch vertical and should create major headaches on the perimeter.”
