The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced the 20 watch list members for the 2018 Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award on Tuesday.

The annual honor — which recognizes the nation’s top shooting guards — is now in its fourth year. Past winners include Kentucky’s Malik Monk (2017), Oklahoma’s Buddy Hield (2016), and Ohio State’s D’Angelo Russell.

By mid-February, the watch list of 20 players will be narrowed to just 10. The winner of the 2018 Jerry West Award will be presented at the ESPN College Basketball Awards Show presented by Wendy’s in Los Angeles, CA on Friday, April 6, 2018.

The watch list is made up of three freshmen, seven sophomores, four juniors, and six seniors. The SEC leads the way with five players represented as the ACC is close behind with four players represented. The Big East and Big-12 each have three players represented, as the Pac-12 has two represented. The WCC, AAC, and Atlantic Ten each have one player represented apiece. The Big Ten was the only Power-Five conference without any players represented.

On Monday, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced the candidates for the 2018 Bob Cousy Award, honoring the nation’s top point guard.
