2018 Forward Louis King Cuts List to Eight

Louis King Top 8

Louis King, the 6-foot-8 small forward from Hudson Catholic (NJ) High School, named Kansas, Maryland, Seton Hall, UConn, Oregon, Syracuse, Purdue, and NC State as his final eight schools on Tuesday via Twitter.

According to 247Sports, King is ranked as the No. 14 overall player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 2 player from the state of New Jersey. Kentucky is the most notable school left off of King’s list, as they hadn’t extended him an offer as of Tuesday. It is especially surprising that Kentucky never offered King after he spent the summer with John Calipari and Team USA at the U-19 Tournament.

Before cutting his list, King also held offers from schools such as Louisville, Indiana, Miami, Arizona State, California, UMass, Kansas State, and Rutgers, among others. According to the 247Sports Crystal Ball, through seven votes, 57 percent of experts predicted King to choose Kentucky, while 43 percent expect Oregon.

King has not set any visits yet per ZagsBlog.com and he has not taken any of his official visits yet. Playing with Team Final on the Nike EYBL Circuit this summer, King averaged 18 points and 6.7 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game, as Team Final finished with a 7-9 record.
